Any young man starting at the age of 14 can reach out to any one of the chapter leaders to begin their induction process to The Order.

Our Fraternity has not neglected the older generation of men that may still want a place to join. In 1994 our Wakchanza Lodge was founded which made it possible for any man over the age of 18 to be able to join our great order.

Anti-Hazing Policy

The Order of the Feather Fraternity strictly prohibits hazing whether physical or mental as a term per condition for membership in the organization. Young men interested in joining the fraternity should only participate in activity sanctioned by the Senior Council and Education Committee of The Order of the Feather Fraternity. If a member of the fraternity is suspected of hazing, they are liable for fraternal charges and sanctions. In severe cases members of The Order of the Feather Fraternity are subject to criminal charges.

The organization defines hazing by the use of New York State hazing law as detailed below:

§ 120.16 hazing in the first degree.

A person is guilty of hazing in the first degree when, during another person’s initiation into or affiliation with any organization, he intentionally or recklessly engages in conduct which creates a substantial risk of physical injury to such other person or a third person and thereby causes such injury.

Hazing in the first degree is a class A misdemeanor.

§ 120.17 hazing in the second degree.

A person is guilty of hazing in the second degree when, during another person’s initiation or affiliation with any organization, he intentionally or recklessly engages in conduct which creates a substantial risk of physical injury to such other person or a third person.

Hazing in the second degree is a violation.
